Sometimes we get out of our native Austin to be inspired. Altar Ego Weddings planner and designer Jen Krause did just that when she and photographer Stephanie Hunter created this fresh, fall elopement styled shoot in San Antonio. A combination of old world antiquity and modern romance, this shoot was set at Mission San Jose, a historic mission in San Antonio, Texas. Stephanie Hunter Photography had the concept, and she and Jen turned an idea into an absolute fairytale.
Jake & Sam, who were set to get married 3 months later, were the perfect couple -- happy, beautiful and oh, so in love. Jenny Riley did Sam's hair and makeup, which emphasized her natural beauty. Gorgeous, cascading florals from Sweetwater Stems complemented the historic mission grounds and the Texas sunshine so perfectly. The bouquet was paired with hand-dyed cotton ribbon strands from Michelle Chavez (formerly with Thirty Day Dash), who also hand-dyed a cotton table runner and napkins for the sweetheart table. 10th Collection provided the rentals, including a stunning white farm table, elegant wooden chairs, and modern plates. The modern details in the place settings were juxtaposed with antique silverware and various goblets that were actual family heirlooms. Whole Foods provided a gorgeous berry chantilly cake, which rested alongside more draping florals in a gorgeous nook in the historic architecture. Paper goods, calligraphy, and a journal from Archer & Olive provided the handmade, textured, and simple cherry on top to this enchanting shoot.
