Hello Altar Ego Weddings fans! We want you to meet some of the vendors we love working with! We love building quality vendor teams to give our clients a seamless wedding day! We can't pull off stress-free weddings without them! Get ready to meet some of our "friendors!"
Remember Molli? Earlier this year she was working for Altar Ego Weddings as a Trained Wedding Planner. Well, she has exciting news! She and her brand new husband (as of April 1st) have launched an event rental company in Austin called 10th Collection! We could not be more proud of their endeavor and know they will be 100% successful! We did a fun interview with Molli about their new business and are excited to share it with you!
What inspired you to start 10th Collection? When did you start?
The inspiration for 10th Collection came from our passion for entertaining and our love of people. We’ve had so many amazing experiences with friends and family by bringing them together over special occasions and creating memories that last a lifetime. These moments are sacred and very special to us. The idea that we can assist others in creating spectacular moments is the reason we started 10th Collection. People may not think too deeply about event rentals, but to us those plates of food and glasses of wine are a catalyst for great stories, deep conversations and a lot of laughter.
Louis and I got the ball rolling for 10th Collection in April of 2016. We spent May and June building our inventory and accepting business. We officially launched our website this July! We’ve had great momentum and feel like this is absolutely what we’re supposed to be doing at this point in our lives.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The labor involved has been our biggest challenge! I was confident at the beginning that Louis and I would be able to handle a majority of the heavy lifting. After our first event, there were so many bruises on my body It looked like I had been in a fight! (Haha) After a quick reality check, we now have a team who helps us. (shoo!)
What style(s) of wedding do you see your pieces being used in?
The beautiful thing about our collection is that it’s versatile. Our pieces can be used in a variety of environments. We have an infusion of rustic, industrial and classic pieces that work well together or stand alone beautifully.
What inspires you?
We’re fortunate to have a strong circle of friends all over the U.S. who are starting their own businesses and working extremely hard to make their dreams a reality. Having the support and encouragement from friends and family and learning from incredibly driven individuals is something that inspires us every day.
What do you like to do in your free time?
My husband and I enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake, hiking the numerous trails around Austin, and going to the movies. We also love trying out all of the great restaurants Austin has to offer!
What’s a fun fact about you that your clients might not know?
Our showroom is under renovations and will be opening in the fall of 2016!! We’re located next to the beautiful venue, One Eleven East, in the historic district of Hutto. We can’t wait!
Are you currently working on any passion projects?
At the moment 10th Collection is our main passion project! We’ve also started planning a holiday event to raise funds, toys and necessities for Austin rescue pups. We’re animal lovers and have three rescue dogs of our own. It’s a cause that’s close to our hearts!
Altar Ego Weddings Austin is thrilled to count 10th Collection as one of our beloved "friendors!"
We can't wait to use their beautiful pieces in our clients' weddings!
